Accessibility statement
Goodday Care is committed to making our website usable by everyone, including people who use assistive technologies. Accessibility is a core part of how we design and build this site.
Our commitment
We believe everyone should be able to find information and get in touch with us, regardless of ability or the technology they use. We aim to meet — and maintain — a high standard of digital accessibility across the whole site.
Conformance target
This website is designed and built to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with a wide range of disabilities, including visual, hearing, cognitive, motor and speech differences.
What we do to support accessibility
- Semantic HTML with clear landmarks, a single main heading per page and a logical heading order.
- A "Skip to main content" link and full keyboard operability, with visible focus indicators that are never hidden behind the sticky header.
- Colour combinations chosen to meet WCAG 2.2 AA contrast, and we never rely on colour alone to convey meaning.
- Text and layouts that remain usable when zoomed to 200% (and up to 400%), with no horizontal scrolling down to a 320px-wide screen.
- Interactive targets that are comfortably sized for touch and pointer use.
- Clearly labelled form fields, with errors that are described in text and announced to assistive technology; our enquiry form also works without JavaScript.
- Respect for the "reduce motion" setting in your operating system, and no content that flashes more than three times per second.
- Meaningful alternative text for images, with decorative images hidden from assistive technology.
Known limitations
We review the site regularly, but some areas may not yet be fully accessible. We treat any accessibility issue as a priority to fix.
